What Is Egotastic FunTime?
Egotastic FunTime: Where Geek Culture Meets Hope
Egotastic FunTime started as my little corner of the internet where I could rant, rave, and celebrate the stories that shaped me. Back when my friends and I would sit around talking about nerd stuff, The Orville didn’t even exist yet. But when it premiered in 2017, something clicked. Here was a show that scratched that utopian sci-fi itch I didn’t even realize I had.
The Spark That Started It All
The first time I made videos about The Orville was the first time people really started interacting with my content. That’s when I knew I had found a sci-fi rabbit hole worth diving into. It wasn’t just about a TV show — it was about building a space for people like me who wanted more than just endless dystopias. It was about optimism, connection, and yes, fun.
Talking The Orville
That’s why I eventually had to launch a whole new channel dedicated to it: Talking The Orville . The conversations, the debates, the shared laughs — it all proved there was a community waiting for exactly this kind of fandom.
Building a Refuge for Fans
But Egotastic FunTime has always been bigger than one show. It’s about everything that makes geek culture meaningful — from celebrating sci-fi classics to digging into what these stories say about who we are and who we could be.
Whether you’re watching Egotastic FunTime , following along on Talking The Orville , supporting on Patreon , or rocking the official Egotastic FunTime Hat , I want you to feel like you belong here.
The Mission
Because that’s what this project has always been about: finding connection through the things we love. Humanity would be amazing if it weren’t for all the humans — but maybe, just maybe, when we share these stories together, we get a little closer to being amazing anyway.
