A QUIET PLACE 2: DON'T WAKE THE BABY???
Yes! Shhhhh sorry. I mean, yes... they're making a sequel to A Quiet Place. This news totally makes sense, as the film continues kicking major ass at the box office, but Paramount just officially confirmed at CinemaCon that a sequel to John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place is already in the works. The film has to date pulled in over $200 million worldwide, returning to #1 on the domestic charts this past weekend.
Studio chairman Jim Gianopulos made the exciting announcement.
Recently, A Quiet Place writers Bryan Woods and Scott Beck had noted that they have plenty of ideas for a sequel, so we can only assume/hope they’ll be back.
“It’s such a fun world,” Woods told Fandango a few weeks back. “There are so many things you could do.” Beck added, “There are so many discarded set pieces, too, just hiding out on Word documents on our computer. So, yeah, there are certainly so many stories you could tell.”
Obviously in the early stages, no release date has been set, nor do we know if Krasinski is involved. But I for one am already wanting to buy a ticket for opening night. I also have no plans to buy popcorn or any movie snack that makes a crunching noise. If you don't want to get punched in the throat by someone like me who wants to get sucked into the silent world of A Quiet Place, I suggest you do the same.
I'll see you soon and as always, I hope all your times are Egotastic FunTimes. Love you. Bye bye.
