Wonder Woman '84 Title Of Sequel?

Is Wonder Woman '84 The Title Of The WW Sequel?

Wonder Woman 2 is set to start filming soon but no official title for the sequel has been announced yet. I don't know about you guys, but just calling it Wonder Woman 2 sounds a bit boring. Princess Diana of Themyscira has basically been the best thing about the latest crop of DC movies coming to the silver screen for the last few years now. Gal Gadot as Diana has been a huge bright spot for DC too. She's great. I think Wonder Woman deserves better than just slapping a number 2 after her name.

DC's chief creative officer Geoff Johns recently changed his Twitter header to a new logo that suggests that the next chapter of Wonder Woman's cinematic story may actually be called Wonder Woman '84. Take a look.

With many movies and tv shows now starting to lean hard into the Eighties Vibe a bit as of late, i.e. Guardians Of The Galaxy, Thor: Ragnarok, IT, The Stupid Bumblebee Movie, Stranger Things, etc., it would make sense that DC would try to capitalize on a market that has become horny for totally tubular 80s nostalgia.

Wonder Woman is more closely associated with the 1940s, that's when her character was originally introduced. It's also the time frame the first Wonder Woman movie was set in. Then, she again made a huge comeback in the 1970s with the Wonder Woman tv show starring Lynda Carter.

But Wonder Woman was popular in the 80s as well when George Perez rebooted the character which turned out to be a huge influence on the last WW film.

The upcoming Wonder Woman sequel will feature Kristin Wiig playing the main villain of the film, Cheetah, also another creation from the 1980s era of Wonder Woman.

In the 1984 comics, Wonder Woman was an agent for the United Nations Crisis Bureau so it's possible that the stories from that era could be a huge inspiration for the new movie.

So, I'd expect to see a Cold War crisis going on in the new film. Perhaps something taking place at the 1984 Olympics held in Los Angeles...

Having Wonder Woman playing a fish out of water, fighting commies in the streets of 1984 Los Angeles sounds exactly like my cup of tea earl grey hot, you guys. This also gives DC the opportunity to come out with a movie that can sell a soundtrack and change it's imagery to the Neon Lights motif that has taken over the Blockbuster Movie World recently.

Not to mention all the pop references that can be laced throughout the movie. 1984 gave us Ghostbusters, The Terminator, Purple Rain, Airwolf, Voltron and Who's the Boss starring the only other woman I'd allow to play Wonder Woman... Alyssa Milano. It's ripe for pop culture addicts to get their fill.

How about you? What do you think the WW84 means for the new Wonder Woman film? What might we expect to see in a Wonder Woman movie that takes place in the 1980s? You can let me know what you think by joining the conversation below.

As always, I hope all your times are Egotastic FunTimes. Love you. Bye bye.

The CW To Introduce Batwoman In Crossover Event

Batwoman is officially coming to The CW this fall in another superhero crossover event, effectively adding “the city of Gotham into the Arrowverse,” said CW boss Mark Pedowitz, adding, “This will be another full-throttled, action-packed event.”

Stephen Amell (Arrow) announced the news during the networks upfront presentation today, saying: “We’re incredibly excited to announce that we’ll be doing another crossover event this fall on The CW, and we’ll be introducing a new character. For the very first time appearing, we’ll be fighting alongside Batwoman, which is terrific. The crossover is going to make it to air in December. I need to leave right now and start filming it.”

Batwoman, aka Kate Kane, is one of several vigilantes who protect Gotham. The character was first introduced in Detective Comics in 1956 and was reimagined for DC Comics’ New 52 as a Jewish lesbian. Kane is a wealthy heiress who becomes inspired by Batman and chooses to also put her wealth and resources towards a campaign to fight crime as a masked vigilante in her home of Gotham City. Arrow and The Flash have both teased that Gotham City did exist in the Arrow-verse, such as when Amell’s Oliver Queen name-dropped Bruce Wayne during this season of Arrow.

The next CW crossover event is set to air in December 2018.

Who wants to see Halston Sage play Batwoman in the event and possible upcoming series? (assuming she's not gonna have much to do in season 2 of The Orville) You can let me know by joining the conversation below...

Fox has officially revealed the season two premiere date of Seth MacFarlane’s The Orville.

Hey, gang! Today we're gonna have a great time talking about the confirmed return date for The Orville Season 2 Premiere! SUPPORT MY ALCOHOLISM ON PATREON.

The second season of MacFarlane’s comedic Star Trek homage will see a midseason return as stupid Thursday Night Football takes over The Orville’s former time slot in the fall.

The Orville will return on Sunday, December 30th following a Sunday Night Football double-header. The series will then resume in its Thursday home following the conclusion of the NFL season.

We've yet to know whether the new season's second episode will air on the following Sunday after the NFL Sportsball Playoffs, January 6th, or if it'll instantly be rocketed to Thursday the 10th to fill it's rightful place as the King of Thursdays.

The Orville Season Two is currently in production. The series is adding Jessica Szohr (Talla) as a new series regular and Chris Johnson (Cassius) in a recurring role in its second season. A veteran Star Trek writer was also brought on board as an additional executive producer, and Robert Picardo is confirmed to return as a guest star in episode 2.

Is God Of War On Netflix With Jason Momoa For Real?

On April 20th, PlayStation 4 released a new edition of their omazeballs hit game, “God of War.” This latest installment brings players into the berserk brutality of Norse lore. The latest edition of “God of War” is the fastest selling installment in the series and has been met with acclaim and attention from the Hollywood Gods that be.

At this point, many of you might have already seen the God Of War poster circulating on the interwebs showing Jason Momoa as Kratos with "all episodes" being available on July 15th. But is it real or just Google Machine Treachery?

But is there going to be an adaptation of God Of War coming to Netflix for realsies? What in the hell does Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa have to do with all of this?

Is God of War On Netflix?

Yes, God of War is on Netflix, but it's definitely not going to be the God of War you’re hoping for. The God of War flick you’ll find on Netflix is a 2017 Chinese action movie about a group of warriors taking on Japanese pirates during the Ming Dynasty starring Wenzhou Zhao, Sammo Kam-Bo Hung, and Regina Wan.

It has nothing to do with the video game “God of War,” but it does have the type of violence in it that any fan of the game franchise would enjoy. People mostly think the series sucks donkey balls, but you might like it. Do you like donkey balls? Is sucking on donkey balls a thing you enjoy? I wouldn't want to stop you from enjoying things so suck away my donkey balls loving friend. Suck away.

Is There Gonna Be A Film Adaptation of the VIDEO GAME “God of War?”

I don't know. There have been multiple attempts to make a “God of War” movie over the past decade. Road to Perdition writer David Self completed a script in 2005 and Universal wanted Daniel Craig to play Kratos. We all love Danny Craig but I really don't ever want to see him star in a God Of War film. Craig reportedly turned the screenplay down and that film fell apart. A few years ago, the team behind Pacific Rim wrote a script for God Of War, but it has yet to go anywhere.

What Does Jason Momoa Have To Do With All Of This?

Last year, Game of Thrones and Justice League star Jason Momoa let it slip that he was not only a big fan of the God Of War franchise, but that he would love to play Kratos and THE INTERNET WENT NUTS! Just kidding. They didn't go nuts. FYI, anytime you read a headline about the internet going nuts, just skip it. It's clickbait and it's stupid and I HATE IT!!!!!!!!!

Is there any proof that a film is in production with Jason Momoa’s name attached to it? No.

Does everyone who isn't a garbage person want to see Momoa take up the role of Kratos in a potential God of War film? You can let me know by joining the conversation below. But if you disagree with me, you're basically saying you're a garbage person. ;)
